WORLD FAMOUS ASTRONAUTS MEET IN GUHEM
Gökmen Space Aviation Training Center (GUHEM), Europe's largest space and regularly monitored interactive training center, will host over 70 astronauts and cosmonauts in September.
Under the leadership of the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO); GUHEM, which was implemented in cooperation with Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and TÜBİTAK, is preparing to host the Planet Congress held every two years by the Association of Space Explorers (ASE). At the congress to be held in Bursa on September 25-29, astronauts and cosmonauts who have made a name for themselves with their work in space will continue to extend space to increase the volume.
"WE ARE HAPPY TO BRING THE CONGRESS TO BURSA"
Stating that GUHEM continues to increase its expansion capacity by making its name known all over the world, GUHEM General Manager Halit Mirahmetoğlu said that he is very happy with what this year's meeting of the Space Explorers Association has brought to Bursa. Mirahmetoğlu said, "To date, very few people have had the chance to cross the border of space. All astronauts who have gone into space before are members of ASE. This association meets in different areas approximately every two years and exchanges ideas about studies in space. We brought this year's meeting to our Bursa. "In this way, more than a hundred active astronauts and cosmonauts will be with us for five days. Apart from the meeting they will hold within themselves, they will also help with the work of GUHEM, the work of the scientific community, and the work of informing young people in this field," he said.
"BOARD OF DIRECTORS WILL COME TO BURSA IN MARCH"
Stating that the board of directors of the Space Explorers Association, consisting of astronauts and cosmonauts, will visit Bursa as of the end of March, Halit Mirahmetoğlu said, "We will host the board members of the association in Bursa for 3 days in March. Astronauts are also included on the board. The event will take place in September. "We will carry out a preliminary study on GUHEM's logistics work before the event. Thus, we will start our work on 25-29 September and host our valued guests in the best possible way," he said.
THEME: THE FUTURE IS IN THE SKY
Halit Mirahmetoğlu stated that he was excited to organize a big event as GUHEM on the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey and said:
