MORE THAN 70 WORLD-FAMOUS ASTRONAUTS ARE COMİNG TO BURSA
COUNTDOWN HAS BEGUN FOR ASE 2023 CONGRESS
GUHEM, Turkey's first interactive training center that carries out space activities, continues to host giant international events. More than 70 astronauts who will come to Bursa with the organization of GUHEM and Bursa Business School will take part in important events for 5 days.
Planetary, which was implemented by the Gökmen Space Aviation Training Center (GUHEM) and the Association of Space Explorers (ASE) in cooperation with the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) with the support of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality. It is preparing to host the Congress. At the congress to be held in Bursa on September 25-29, astronauts and cosmonauts who have made a name for themselves with their work in space will continue to extend space to increase the volume. There were 19 participants at the congress, from American pilot Victor Grover, who will go to the Moon with the Artemis II mission, to Chinese Junlong Fei, who spent a total of 191 days in space in two missions, from Russian Cosmonaut Sergei Andeev, who lived 747 days in space, to Astronaut Julie Payette, former Governor General of Canada. More than 70 astronauts and names in space studies will take part in the country.
IT WİLL BE HOSTED BY BURSA BUSİNESS SCHOOL
The technical sessions of the event, which will bring together the world's most prestigious names in space, will be held at Bursa Business School Uludağ Campus, the training and development center of the business world implemented by BTSO. Following the opening organization to be held on Monday, September 25, TÜBİTAK President Hasan Mandal, TUA President Serdar Hüseyin Yıldırım, Türksat CEO Hüseyin Ertok, Plan-S CEO Tugay Güzel, TÜBİTAK Space Institute Deputy Director Alime Yıldırım and Delta V General Manager Arif Karabeyoğlu. Important names will share their knowledge and experiences in technical sessions. Turkey's first space travelers Alper Gezeravcı and Tuva Atasever will also meet with space enthusiasts within the scope of Turkey's Future Projection session within the scope of the events.
In addition, world-famous astronauts such as Michael Lopez Alegria, Thomas Marshburn, Fei Junlong, John D. Olivas, Anton Shkaplerov, Denis Matveev, and Sergey Korsakov will attend the New Space Economy and Studies in Earth Orbit and Beyond sessions.
THE MAIN THEME OF THE CONGRESS IS “THE FUTURE IS IN THE SKY”
The theme of this great organization to be held in Bursa on the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey was determined based on the words of the founder of our Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, "The Future is in the Sky". In this unique organization, which is a historical congress for the country, many activities will be organized for five days, such as technical sessions on space, as well as science and society events, seminars, interviews, and student meetings on online platforms.
The astronauts, who will visit GUHEM on Wednesday, September 27, will also meet with citizens and students at the Merinos Atatürk Congress and Culture Center Osmangazi Hall within the scope of 'Science-Society' events.

BTSO Chairman of the Board of Directors İbrahim Burkay said that space and aviation technologies have become a major competitive area in the world. Stating that Turkey has made important strides in establishing the necessary infrastructure in this field under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, Mayor Burkay said, He stated that GUHEM continues its work with the mission of training qualified human resources in the field of space and aviation. İbrahim Burkay stated that GUHEM, which was established in Bursa as Europe's largest space, aviation, and experience center in its field, made a name for itself with qualified organizations that made an impact at the international level, and in this context, hosted the giant organization of the Space Explorers Association in Bursa. He said they were getting ready to do it.
